So after stints at the old Robinson Nugent Factory, 3 years at The Breakwater, 8th Street Pizza (8th Dei Pizza at the brewery location) has sprang back to life October 2024, when Richard and Kim Otey offered Jeff their kitchen at the Donum Dei Brewery. Now chef driven by the pizzaiolo himself, you will not find anything like it in the southern Indiana - Louisville metro area!
History: Jeff stumbled upon a quaint Baker's Pride Pizza oven while seeking a rental space for Clean Socks Hope at the old Robinson Nugent factory. 8th Street Pizza is more than a New York-style pizzeria; it's a beacon of community spirit and generosity, with a pay-it-forward ethos at its heart. This is a place where pizza and people connect, creating a delicious harmony.
I can't speak enough on this pizza. We (the employer I work for) get this pizza a lot for our students to eat. The service is top notch, the pizza is delicious (large New York style slices), the pizza is always hot, the location is perfectly placed for anyone that wants to walk off the street and grab a slice. Truly love this pizza.
Enjoyed the pizzas and salads. Unfortunately, when we were there, only 1 employee was working. The others arrived at noon. They only serve Pepsi products. Everything was served to go style, but we sat and ate there. The pizza was great. I got the slab (1 piece) with drink. Others got the 8th street special. Lots of toppings!
Staff is always very friendly and my food is always ready right on time! Price is great and the pizza is truly so good. Highly recommend the all meat pizza and the pepperoni sticks are great too!
We really enjoyed this place. We had the pepperoni pizza. It was good. Service was okay. Prices were reasonable. I would recommend this place.
